Jin Feng, a modern mechanical engineer, travels through time to the Great Kang Dynasty and marries Guan Xiaorou, who is regarded as an ill omen. Using modern technology, he manufactures crossbows and improves spinning wheels, leading villagers out of poverty. When war breaks out at the border, Jin Feng takes command of the Tielin Army in a crisis and uses formation tactics, catapults, and other overwhelming technological advantages to defeat elephant cavalry at Qingshui Valley. After being manipulated into receiving only a nominal title, he calmly returns home to expand his industries. When bandits from Iron Pot Mountain, jealous of his wealth, come to extort and threaten him, Jin Feng forms a veteran guard and a women's army, striking back decisively and vowing to eradicate the bandits and protect his home.
