In 1996, in Linjiang, designer Shen Mingzhu reunites with her biological parents on the day of her engagement. To protect them, she resolutely calls off the engagement and quits her job, only to face a complete industry-wide blacklist imposed by the Zhou family. She struggles to build a business with her parents using nothing but an old sewing machine, while enduring one scheme after another: her designs are stolen, her fabrics are ruined by mold, and her factory is deliberately set on fire. Undeterred, she enters a competition with her creations, rising from the ashes and exposing the truth in front of everyone: her parents are actually the chairman and chairwoman of Huajin Group.
