I endure the humiliation and give up the land and house, taking only a chipped divine stone mill and the old donkey, along with my pregnant wife, to settle in a dilapidated mud-brick shack. This stone mill can turn bran and wild beans into fine white flour and soy milk, helping my family survive hunger and cold. My uncle refuses to give up and repeatedly frames me and causes trouble. With my wits and the divine donkey's help, I gather evidence and outmaneuver him. In the end, I enlist the authorities to expose my uncle's conspiracy and reclaim our ancestral property.
