Across the Lies, Embracing You
Jiang Yao is two months pregnant and goes to the hospital alone for an abortion. The obstetrician sitting opposite her turns out to be her fiancé Shen An, who has been missing for two months. He grips her hand tightly and demands, "Weren't we doing fine?" The truth is hidden in two tampered versions: he received a breakup screenshot claiming Jiang Yao "has a new love," while she saw a photo of his "new girlfriend" seeing him off at the airport. Cousin Lin Wei gently maneuvers between them, tearing a single romance into two lies. Until Shen An smells saffron in Jiang Yao's "calming tea." As it turns out, the tea she sent is not tea, but fatal poison.
