A Spoonful of Chili Oil Makes Her Eight-Year-Old Restaurant Close Down
On a snowy winter night, fleet captain Guo Zhenhua, who had been eating at Old Qian's Noodle Shop for five years, was publicly humiliated and had his stool kicked over by the owner Qian Guizhi simply for asking for an extra spoonful of chili. Meanwhile, the newly opened Wu Ji Beef Noodle Shop next door warmed the hearts of three hundred drivers with genuine ingredients and the words, "If the soup is not enough, just shout." Guo Zhenhua directed the fleet's meal allowances toward Wu Ji, sparking a battle over human hearts and conscience. Power outages, supply cutoffs, false accusations, and adulteration—the opponents tried every trick in the book, yet the headlights of dozens of trucks illuminated the snow and the difference between right and wrong. When the old restaurant was sealed up, Qian Guizhi finally realized that what smashed her signboard was never that spoonful of chili, but rather that heart of disdain for her customers.
