When Chen Muye returns to his hometown to sell free-range chickens, his cousin Chen Defa brings people to smash his stall, trample his poultry to death, and humiliate him in public. Chen Muye makes a bold declaration and heads into the mountains alone to start his own business. Chen Defa resorts to every dirty trick to suppress him, spreading rumors, secretly sabotaging his efforts, and obstructing him from every direction in an attempt to drive him out of business. Drawing on years of experience in the food service supply chain, Chen Muye builds an incubator, establishes an organic free-range chicken farm, starts livestreaming to prove the quality of his products, creates a traceability system, and expands sales beyond the province. He then establishes a rural cooperative, builds roads, and earns recognition as a leader in rural revitalization. In just one year, a barren mountain is transformed into a prosperous land of opportunity, leaving those who once looked down on him and schemed against him utterly panicked.
