Shen Zhiyan, a modern engineering PhD, unexpectedly travels to the Great Sheng dynasty and becomes an ordinary farming boy in Qingshui Village. Faced with poverty and scarce opportunities for education, he refuses to complain about his fate. Instead, drawing on his accumulated knowledge and level-headed mind, he begins by improving the spinning wheel and helping his family make a better living, gradually earning the opportunity to study. After entering school, he distinguishes himself on the path of the imperial examinations, rising from a country boy to a world of greater possibilities while quietly introducing engineering knowledge far ahead of its time into the Great Sheng dynasty.
