It tells the story of Shen Yan and his girlfriend of six years, Jiang Li, preparing for their wedding. On the wedding day itself, however, they run into Jiang Li's ex-boyfriend, Gu Huai, in the bride's room. Shen Yan announces the cancellation of the wedding on the spot, which subsequently drags out the truth of Gu Huai owing debts and cheating money, and Jiang Li's repeated soft-hearted shielding. The two completely break off, settling accounts for betrothal gifts, real estate, and wedding losses, and finally each bear the price for their choices, with Shen Yan walking out of the emotional trauma to restart his life.
