Master Craftsman, I Repair Home Appliances in the Residential Community
In his sixties, Shen Huaian conceals his illustrious past as a national gold medalist in repair and sets up a home appliance repair stall in Xingfuli Community, charging a flat rate of 20 yuan per item and nothing if he cannot fix it. With 42 years of experience, he once left the high-end precision repair industry after taking responsibility for his apprentice's mistake. Now, he runs the stall simply to cover his daughter's high school tuition. When Uncle Zhou brings him an old fan that no one else is willing to repair, the veteran technician diagnoses the problem by listening to its sound. After dismantling and inspecting it, he gets the fan running smoothly and quietly, charging just 20 yuan. Lin Xiaobei, a young onlooker, secretly films his remarkable craftsmanship, and neighbors soon begin bringing him their broken appliances.
