Su Wan, guardian of the spiritual leyline at the Shanhai Divine Temple, is being corrupted by the turbid, malevolent energy of the Dark Abyss. Her body is growing weak, and her life hangs by a thread. Yun Chen, a cultivator of the Shanhai Divine Temple, decides to activate the Spirit-Transference Formation to eliminate the malevolent energy, both to save Su Wan and to protect all living beings. However, activating the formation will awaken the Lord of the Abyss, who has been imprisoned by the power of the twelve stars. The twelve Star Abyss guardians will certainly not hand over their spirit stones willingly. Therefore, Yun Chen must brave the Star Abyss trials and obtain the constellation spirit stones from all twelve star palaces. Only by collecting all twelve stones can he activate the formation. For the woman he loves and for all living beings, Yun Chen decides to face the Star Abyss trials alone.
