Repairman Lu Ye storms into a scrapyard and rescues his mother, Su Wan, who is being dismantled as obsolete equipment. She is care robot SL-07, but she is also the woman who raised him. Determined to preserve his mother's memories and freedom, Lu Ye joins forces with Dr. Cheng Anning to investigate an accident at an old hospital. Their investigation gradually leads them to a web of interests hidden behind Tiancheng's rationing system. Amid lockdowns, supply cutoffs, and relentless pursuit, they struggle to save lives while uncovering the truth that has been buried.
