Su Nian struggles to make a living on her own in the city. Between a demanding job and expensive rent, life feels stressful and lonely. Until one late night, a calico cat squeezes through a gap in the window and settles into her rented apartment, refusing to leave. The little cat becomes the eleventh presence in her life. Their days together bring warmth to her world. The cat rubs away her exhaustion with its fluffy head and keeps her company through sleepless nights with its soothing purrs. As Su Nian takes care of the cat, she also learns to slow down and be gentle again.
