I'll Raise a Toast to My Husband
To ease his son's burden, Xie Tiancai moves into his son's home to help care for his grandson. However, his son, Xie Youlin, takes his father's sacrifices for granted and shows no concern for his hardworking wife. Instead, he brings home a dog belonging to his first love, Shen Xiaoshan, and leaves it unleashed. In his haste to go play strip mahjong with Shen Xiaoshan, the dog bites the child, frightening the elderly man so badly that he suffers a heart attack. While Xie Tiancai is fighting for his life in the hospital, Xie Youlin spends the entire night playing mahjong with Shen Xiaoshan and the others, convinced that his wife, Qin Li, is lying to him. Deeply disappointed in his son, Xie Tiancai transfers his inheritance to Qin Li before he dies.
