A modern medical doctor travels through time to ancient times, becoming Lin Xi, a peasant girl whose parents have just both passed away. Opening her eyes, she must support eight young younger brothers, while harsh grandparents come to the door to seize the family property. Awakening her portable planting space, she goes into the mountains to gather herbs, outwits toxic relatives, and struggles to save money to establish a household and settle down. Suddenly encountering a flood disaster, she leads the villagers to rebuild the village, explores the secret valley of herbs, accumulates family wealth through the herb business, protects all her younger brothers in studying and growing up, and carves out a warm and stable little home amidst troubled times.
