Lying Down Out of Twelve Hundred and Eighty Thousand
Shen Lingyun, who returned home to start a business, paid 120,000 out of his own pocket to renovate the drainage ditches for the entire village. When passing by Qian Hongmei's doorstep, he was blackmailed by her for 300,000 under the pretext of 'destroying feng shui' by lying on the ground. Shen Lingyun would rather spend an additional 300,000 to reroute the path than ever condone blackmail. On the day of Qian Hongmei's son's wedding, the dirt road in front of the door was muddy and impassable due to rainstorms; the wedding cars got stuck, the wedding dress was soiled, and the banquet almost failed. After the truth was exposed, the son and daughter-in-law angrily moved away. In the end, Qian Hongmei paid an extra 128,000 to beg for the drainage ditch to be fixed, regretting it immensely.
