The Mud Statue Picked Up from the Snow Ditch
On a heavy winter snow day, an abandoned mud deity statue is picked up by a kind-hearted person and brought home, after which miraculous signs frequently appear. Wealthy local gentry see it and grow jealous, resorting to all sorts of bullying and forced seizure through schemes, only to face successive misfortunes instead. The kind-hearted person consistently holds onto kindness and does good deeds, resolving calamities step by step. In the end, good and evil each find their proper destination, fully showing the cause and effect that those who keep kindness in their hearts will surely be protected by heaven.
