Meng Qingzhou, a blind live-in son-in-law, lives quietly among ordinary people while harboring extraordinary ambitions. Though he appears lazy and withdrawn from the world, his prophetic wisdom exposes a conspiracy of rebellion, and his sword intent that commands time protects the peace of the land. He redeems a wayward assassin and helps the female emperor suppress a rebellion. Uninterested in power and steadfast in his convictions, he upholds justice through his own strength amid a turbulent age. Beneath an unremarkable exterior, he writes the legend of a sage, conveying the power of perseverance and choosing goodness.
