One hundred days after the passing of her grandmother Shen Yuru, office worker Gu Nian is trapped in endless remorse. Due to being busy with work back then, she repeatedly turned down opportunities to accompany her grandmother, missing the chance to fulfill wishes like taking a family portrait and taking her grandmother to see the sea; this regret tortures her day and night. On a rainy night, Gu Nian, working late and returning home, mistakenly enters a mysterious small alley and encounters a mysterious small shop named "Soul Rejuvenation Shop". The shopkeeper tells her that he can make her deceased grandmother return to accompany her for twenty-four hours, but the cost is consuming one year of Gu Nian's lifespan. Overwhelmed by longing, Gu Nian signs the contract and successfully sees her living grandmother once again.
