He chops wood in exchange for eggs, delivers shoes, and helps save grain. One feverish night, Amo carries him up the steepest 800 meters of the mountain. The short drama portrays them as an arrogant young master and a tough grandmother. Only then does he understand that human kindness cannot be measured by price tags, and a person's story should never be reduced to half the truth. From Liangshan to the stage in the county town, he learns that words bottled up for too long turn sour, and that some things must be said face-to-face.
