Sheng Xia, a Jing University graduate from an orphanage, accidentally ate poisonous mushrooms and rode her neighbor's dog, resulting in a major social media embarrassment. After joining the Lu Group, she suspects that Lu Chenye, the cold and sharp-tongued CEO, is Lu Dashen, her online dating partner of many years. Sheng Xia begins testing him, but ultimately fails and fantasizes that Lu Chenye and his brother Pei Su are a same-sex couple, causing a series of hilarious mix-ups. Lu Chenye gradually recognizes Sheng Xia but keeps quiet about it, secretly protecting and pursuing her while dealing with family infighting and rivals making things difficult for them. Through mistaken identities, the two constantly pull and tug at each other's heartstrings, ultimately confirming their feelings when they finally meet in person.
