Out of A Winter Melon Jumps A Sheep
At the base of the wall in a peasant courtyard, a giant winter melon suddenly bursts open, and from within is born Ling Juan, a snow-white, curly-furred little sheep who can speak. Ling Juan calls herself Winter Melon Mee, proclaiming that she is going to take over this courtyard and the old couple. Grandpa and grandma slowly accept her from shock, and a bowl of millet porridge makes Ling Juan acknowledge grandma. Ling Juan understands the timing of heaven, reminding grandpa to hurry and harvest radishes to avoid the continuous heavy rain; she also points out hidden dangers for Shi Qiao the peddler and exposes damage on a villager's roof. Grey Tooth, the great wolf king in the mountain, hears that a speaking spiritual sheep has appeared below the mountain and grows curious, and a story between mountain spiritual creatures thus unfolds.
