Chen Mo, a newcomer to the county town's market, builds a smart cold-chain system, drawing customers away from established merchant Zhao Tiezhu. Jealous and resentful, Zhao reports Chen for allegedly violating regulations by installing pipes in a public area. Chen follows the rules, dismantles the entire refrigeration system overnight, and transfers his inventory in advance. Just then, a torrential rainstorm causes a citywide blackout, cutting power to Zhao Tiezhu's outdated cold-storage facility. All 300,000 yuan worth of seafood inside spoils. Facing devastating losses, Zhao pressures Chen to reinstall the pipes and is forced to publicly admit that his report was false and pay 45,000 yuan out of his own pocket for the reinstallation. Still harboring a grudge, he later sends people to plant expired seafood in Chen's cold-storage facility to frame him. However, the entire incident is captured on surveillance cameras, and Zhao is ultimately taken away by the police.
