Wang Guilan receives a video call supposedly from her daughter, Lin Xia. On the screen, her daughter is covered in bruises and cries as she begs for money. Believing the call is genuine, Wang Guilan grabs her bank deposit certificate and rushes to the bank. The bank staff, her older sister, the property management staff, and the police all step in to stop her. Lin Xia spots the culprit behind the leaked footage by examining the angles and lip movements that the fake video fails to show. The money is saved, and her mother learns to verify things before opening the door.
