In the 1980s, in Longwan Village, Chen Haisheng, a lame fisherman, is driven out of his home after a family upheaval. At his ancestral home, he unexpectedly inherits the Dragon God's legacy, healing his injured leg and unlocking supernatural abilities to explore the sea and locate fish. He joins forces with Zhao Qinghe to build a fortune through coastal gathering and fishing. Along the way, he meets businesswoman Sun Yiqing, recruits former subordinates to form a fleet, and confronts rivals' suppression and schemes.
