I Won't Tear Down the House with My First Hammer Swing Back in the Village
Lin Zhiyuan, a designer who returns to his hometown, gives up opportunities in the city and comes back to Qingxi Bay to renovate an abandoned old house. The villagers assume his first swing of the hammer will demolish the house, but he instead calls out, "Don't tear it down just yet." From inspecting potential hazards and reusing old materials to listening to visitors' needs, he leads everyone in building a model house together. In the end, the old house is given a new lease on life, while also connecting plans for public spaces and agricultural product exhibitions, becoming a new starting point for rural revitalization.
