In the 223rd year of the Yan Kingdom, Dongying unleashes poisonous gas, bringing devastation to all living things. Ji Wushuang, the Goddess of the Nine Heavens, sacrifices all her cultivation and removes her immortal bones to save the world, becoming an ordinary woman with a foolish mind. Jiang Ming saves her, only to mistreat her alongside his cruel mother. Five years later, Ji Wushuang accidentally cures Qi Yanli, the young master of the Qi family, who recognizes her as the person who saved his life when he was a child. After enduring relentless abuse, Ji Wushuang regains her divine consciousness and exposes Jiang Ming at a banquet for stealing her medicinal formula and betraying his wife. She then reveals her true identity and foils Ye Qingqing and Qi Wenchuan's conspiracy to impersonate the Goddess and seize the family's assets. At an auction, she also defeats the Crown Prince of Dongying and reclaims the national seal. Together with Qi Yanli, heir to an ancient martial arts lineage, she joins forces to protect the Yan Kingdom.
