From Welding the Gate Shut to Opening It, I Made the Whole Village Prosper
For twenty years, her domineering neighbor has been taking her produce for free, yet she has never dared to utter a harsh word. She quietly welds shut her melon garden's iron gate and secures it with six unmistakable padlocks. Other people's belongings cannot be taken for free, and she must earn her own living through her own efforts. Locks can keep greed out, but they cannot lock away people's hearts. From guarding the garden alone to having the entire village protect it, the gate that was once welded shut eventually opens to those who work hard and earn an honest living.
