Modern orphan Lin Yuan accidentally time-travels to the Xuanhuang Realm, becoming a mediocre outer disciple of the Liuyun Sect. Unexpectedly, he awakens the "Stealer of Fates System"—as long as he achieves rankings in leaderboards and competitions, he can acquire powerful cultivation affixes. From the outer sect monthly exams to the Hidden Dragon Board, from mystic realm trials to the clashes of heroes, Lin Yuan acts weak while hiding his edge all the way, killing enemies across realms as his strength rises rapidly. Meanwhile, a massive conspiracy within the Liuyun Sect surrounding the identity of the "Young Master" gradually surfaces, and Lin Yuan, who was cultivated as a substitute, decides to play along with their plot and turn the tables to leverage their momentum and ascend to the pinnacle of martial arts.
