Qin Feng is staying at his older brother and sister-in-law's home, witnessing his brother's warm and happy life with Liu Jiaojiao. Unexpectedly, his brother suddenly dies while away on a business trip, leaving behind a bankrupt company and enormous debts. To help his sister-in-law repay them, Qin Feng enters a nightclub. After enduring humiliation, he turns his fortunes around and becomes the club's top star. Liu Jiaojiao discovers that Shen Rong may be connected to her husband's death. She pretends to play along with the Shen father and son, secretly driving a wedge between them, while Qin Feng gets close to Shen Rong's wife, Wu Meili, to earn her trust. Shen Rong divorces Wu Meili so he can marry Liu Jiaojiao. At the wedding, his son Shen Lang takes Liu Jiaojiao hostage at knifepoint. Qin Feng arrives just in time with the police, exposes Shen Rong's crimes, and brings him to justice, causing the Shen family to collapse. In the end, Qin Feng and Liu Jiaojiao leave the city and begin a peaceful new life together.
