Li Qingqing unexpectedly gains the ability to see on-screen comments and discovers that she is the cannon-fodder supporting character in an online-dating romance novel, while her roommate, An Yueke, is the heroine. An Yueke not only secretly drugs her with a pig-fattening agent that turns her into an obese woman, but also steals her wealthy heir boyfriend and uses him to bring ruin upon Qingqing's entire family. After learning the truth, Li Qingqing pretends to go along with her malicious roommate while secretly gathering evidence to expose An Yueke's true nature. The wealthy heir pretends to believe An Yueke but is actually using her as a pawn and turning her into a target. After Li Qingqing is dealt with, the heir, Huo Jingze, and Li Qingqing ultimately end up happily together.
