In Qingxi Town during a famine in the twelfth lunar month, farm woman Chen Guilan rescues an old woman (an incarnation of the Kitchen Goddess) collapsed in the snow and is gifted a green-tiled basin that produces rice. Facing her sister-in-law Liu Cuihua's jealousy, theft, and rumors, Guilan steadfastly upholds the bottom line of "saving those in urgent need, not those in greed." When a plum rain flood sweeps through the town, the basin becomes the life-saving granary for the entire town, also reflecting human greed and warmth. Ultimately, under divine enlightenment and Guilan's inspiration, Liu Cuihua repents, and the town revitalizes after the disaster, showcasing a karmic baptism of kindness and blessings.
