Saving a Snake, Hard to Reckon Grace and Enmity
An old man accidentally rescues an injured woman named A Lan, only to discover she is a snake-clan creature. The two thereby forge an inextricable grievance. On one side is the grace of saving a life; on the other is the instinct of racial survival. Conflicts arrive one after another. Although A Lan carries past entanglements, she steps forward to protect the village in times of crisis. Facing family bonds and various owed entanglements, amidst choices, everyone learns to sort out grievances, measure affection and righteousness, and jointly search for a way out of reconciliation and redemption.
