In the 1980s, after the death of Chen Feng's father in Chenjiacun, only his sickly mother and young sister were left for him to care for. Relatives embezzled the compensation money and most of the family property during the family division, giving him only three dilapidated rooms and a stinky fish pond. Chen Feng went down to clear the silt in the pond, unexpectedly discovering a divine dragon avatar trapped by nine bronze chains, and obtained the dragon ball inheritance. From then on, he acquired rare seafood through an underground waterway connected to the open sea, establishing a fish pond cooperative and an aquatic product processing plant. Facing the counterattack of his relatives and Du Wanshan's covetousness over the fish pond waterways, Chen Feng protected his family, career, and waters, and also harvested romance with Zhou Wan'er while starting a business side by side, ultimately taking the initiative to return the dragon ball to let the divine dragon regain its freedom.
