Driven out by his grandmother and two uncles working together, Chen Qingshan moves into a dilapidated, drafty house with his disabled father and pregnant mother, receiving nothing but a barren hillside in the family division. By chance, he activates a spiritual field hidden beneath an ancestral blue brick. Withered grain comes back to life, and golden rice grows on the barren slope. Using spiritual seeds and his business savvy, he sells fragrant rice, grows cotton, and builds a cotton mill. Step by step, he turns his fortunes around and makes his greedy relatives pay, while helping the entire village become prosperous. Along the way, he and his childhood sweetheart, Su Wan, turn their bitter days into a sweet life together.
