The unlucky youth A Qiong carries a reverse-causality fate destiny, where the harder he tries the more he fails, and desperately seeking death instead brings success; Qi Qi, the Siming deity in charge of his fate, descends to mortal realm to correct his destiny, accidentally releasing the sealed Lord of Chaos, Tun. Together with a glutinous rice ball, they flee to Guixu to escape heaven's pursuit, eventually discovering that A Qiong is an outlaw unbound by heavenly dao and possessing a blank book of fate.
