Jiang Chen, a top virologist, travels to a post-apocalyptic Blue Star where everyone can awaken their abilities. During the one-time Divine Gift selection, he abandons the coveted SSS-rank evolution serum and resolutely injects himself with the F-rank Blacklight Virus, a substance regarded as a deadly taboo. With his Virus Overlord talent, he activates a god-tier system of devouring, plundering, and immortal evolution. From being a monster of the Demon-Pattern Tribe hunted down by the military, he rises by defeating stronger enemies, plundering supernatural abilities, and growing stronger until he joins the frontline Shadow Squad. When the Demon-Pattern Tribe's army bears down on Blackrock Pass, he confronts the two-winged Black Dragon Lord with his forbidden power and embarks on a fiery comeback to defend the pass against overwhelming odds.
