Grand Duke's wife Chu Lingyi, on her way out, is blocked in the streets and forced for position by A Shui, the concubine of young marquis Lu Jinghe, who attempts to force her way into the Grand Duke's mansion using her pregnancy. Chu Lingyi exposes the plot, but is targeted in a counter-design. Returning from the jaws of death, Lu Zheng and she join hands, following clues to weed out the traitorous Kang Wang faction behind the scenes, shattering the treason plot and punishing the wicked. In the end, past grievances are cleared, Chu Lingyi also conceives an heir as wished, and both home and country are safe and secure.
