Lin Feng, owner of a mountain goods store in Changbai Mountain, saved an injured centennial mountain lord and gained the sworn protection of a hundred beasts. He was betrayed by his childhood friend Zhang Yuan and girlfriend Jiang Xinyao, who stripped him of his factory and saddled him with huge debts. In a desperate plight, Lin Feng ventured into the mountains to survive, extricating himself with rare medicinal herbs presented by the hundred beasts, and accidentally met Qin Ruoyi, the daughter of the Qin family who was searching for medicine to save her father, and the two developed mutual feelings. Qin Ruoyi's stepmother Xu Mei colluded with the housekeeper, winning over Zhang Yuan and others, attempting to open the mountains for mining and destroy the forest, repeatedly harming the two. Lin Feng and Qin Ruoyi joined hands to protect the forest and expose the conspiracy. The villains united with Lei Jinshan to deliberately destroy the mountain, and were finally subdued by the mountain lord leading the hundred beasts. The mountain forest returned to peace, and Lin Feng and Qin Ruoyi guarded each other for the rest of their lives.
