She Who Disappeared in the Mountains
A deep mountain disappearance case brings to light a series of supernatural oddities, including a red-clothed ghost shadow and auditory hallucinations from the stage. While searching for his girlfriend Gu Xinyue across desolate mountains, Jiang Rui experiences a shocking truth reversal before his fright has even settled: all the ghost and deity tales are entirely human-made scams, and the mastermind is none other than the girlfriend he treated with all his heart. Two years of humble affection ultimately turned into a scheme, and once the truth came to light, his love completely collapsed. There is never any medicine for regret in this world; some people move forward with relief, while others sink into eternal remorse, and a parting becomes lifelong strangers.
