Qin Xue, an orphan, earns the distinction of being one of the school's exemplary students thanks to her outstanding academic performance. However, a group of unruly students who despise studying see her as a thorn in their side. They use their connections to steal her scholarship and her guaranteed university admission, driving her to the brink of despair. They even destroy the part-time job she depends on to survive. Just as Qin Xue sinks into hopelessness and prepares to eat her last meal before leaving the campus for good, she unexpectedly encounters the chairman livestreaming an inspection of the school. Noticing that she is eating a bowl of seaweed and egg drop soup, the chairman becomes curious. As he questions her further, he gradually discovers that Qin Xue's background is far more extraordinary than anyone could have imagined.
