Gu Yanchuan, a teacher who has just moved into a new home, catches the attention of Xu Meiqin, a mother living next door who has her eyes on his property. After her offer, far below market value, is rejected, she starts ringing his doorbell late every night, claiming she has forgotten her access card when she actually wants to wear him down with relentless harassment until he sells the house cheaply.
