The journey to the Western Heaven reaches its ultimate truth. After I protect Tang Seng to complete our merit and receive Lingshan's enfeoffment, the golden hoop does not dissipate as expected. Tathagata asks me to temporarily stay in Lingshan to quietly meditate and comprehend. I let go of my impatience, and in day-in, day-out scripture chanting and Zen meditation, I gradually realize that the golden hoop is not bound by external objects, but transformed by mind thoughts. Back then, the tight-fillet curse restricted a mischievous nature; now, having attained Buddhahood, the final trace of obsession is what needs to be untied. When I truly let down my attachment to liberation, the golden hoop naturally fades away. I then realize that Lingshan's secret is not hidden statecraft, but that on the path of cultivation, every test that seems like bondage is ultimately a step toward freedom.
