Sun Tiechui, the leader of a construction team, is forced to accept a barren plot of land in the western suburbs as compensation after an unscrupulous developer withholds his construction payments. While drilling a well on the wasteland, he accidentally breaks through into a space-time passage connecting to an ancient valley sealed off by a water shortage. There, he meets Zhan Beiye, a general trapped with his troops. Using modern construction equipment, including water pumps, industrial fans, and heavy excavators, Sun Tiechui repeatedly helps the ancient army overcome crises involving water shortages, poisonous smoke, and boulders blocking the valley. Meanwhile, he converts supplies gifted by the ancient soldiers into legitimate funds, establishes a heavy industry conglomerate, and ultimately brings the unscrupulous businessman to justice through legal means.
