An orphaned daughter of a convicted official disguises herself as a coarse maid and sneaks into the prince's mansion, risking her life to clear her father's name! She exhausts all her schemes to seduce and calculate, thinking she has grasped the cold and aloof powerful official, yet little does she know that from the very moment she stepped into the mansion, she fell into the trap laid by Xiao Jue. In public, they treat each other coldly as strangers, but late at night they have secret talks in the firewood room, where hidden undercurrents of emotion breed. The treacherous prime minister pushes step by step, framing and plotting, and the two join hands to tear open the court conspiracy, overturning the case in the golden hall. With all authority laid down and sweet-scented osmanthus filling the courtyard, the cold-faced powerful official runs toward the rest of his life for her alone.
