Jianghu is circulated with a mysterious Carefree Token capable of commanding Jianghu. Chivalrous woman Su Xiaoyao originally only wanted to drink wine and spend her days in ease and freedom, but unwilling to see wicked people seize the token and disrupt Jianghu, she gets swept into this turmoil. Along the road she makes the acquaintance of righteous young hero Yun Jingchen; their personalities have a huge contrast, at first disliking each other and frequently bickering, but afterward slowly becoming partners fighting side by side. Along the way they befriend numerous all sorts of Jianghu friends, exploring together the secrets hidden within the Carefree Token, learning that the true core of the token is protecting Jianghu freedom, not controlling Jianghu. Everyone joins hands to expose the conspiracy of Venerable Xuanji using the token to gather power and harm people, returning peace and tranquility to Jianghu.
