Young maiden Lin Xiaohe goes up the mountain to gather herbs and accidentally falls off a cliff. In her moment of peril, she is rescued by a heavily wounded giant snake. Grateful-hearted Xiaohe steps forward to unfasten the iron trap binding the large snake. After escaping danger, the giant snake transforms into a small snake and follows Xiaohe back to the village. Unexpectedly, the village's water source mysteriously dries up. The greedy Hu Wancai secretly cuts off the mountain spring, attempting to monopolize the water source of the entire mountain forest. Relying on wisdom and courage, Xiaohe and the fellow villagers unite to guard the spiritual snake of the mountain spring, uncover the truth, repair the water channels, and protect the spring water upon which the entire village depends for survival, while also coming to understand the principles of coexistence among all living things and unity for mutual assistance.
