Modern-day girl Yu Xinghe travels through time and becomes a cannon-fodder character in an ancient short drama who mistreats a prince. After awakening a mall space, she rescues the Seventh Prince, Xiao Huaiyu, who is blind, lame, and suffering from severe poisoning. Using modern snacks to start a street-stall business, she joins forces with a shopkeeper to open a commercial store and repeatedly foils Zhao Chun'e's malicious schemes. Along the way, she befriends a general and an imperial physician, eventually finding a miraculous medicine to cure Xiao Huaiyu. After recovering his health and reclaiming his identity as a prince, Xiao Huaiyu invites her into the palace. Disgusted by palace intrigue, Yu Xinghe leaves a letter and chooses to live in seclusion. Together with wealthy merchant Gu Huaichen, she builds a bustling food street, develops salt mines, and produces refined salt for the imperial palace. Xiao Huaiyu eventually pacifies the court and ascends the throne. Once his duties are complete, he heads into the mountains, where he reunites with Yu Xinghe, who has built an enormous commercial empire.
