The Qingshi Village water diversion project benefits the entire village. Fruit farmer Zhou Yuanshan greedily demands three hundred thousand in compensation and obstructs the construction. Investor Lin Yan resolutely refuses to open the door to extortion, choosing to reroute instead, and even offers him two free opportunities to connect water, both of which he rejects. Zhou Yuanshan's orchard suffers from a drought, he is caught illegally connecting a water pipe, and he falls victim to scammers, suffering heavy losses. In the end, he has a sudden awakening, pays over one hundred thousand out of his own pocket to bear the cost, and realizes that greed is the root cause of destroying one's financial prospects.
