An ordinary young man, Jiang Chi, picks up a discarded humanoid robot on a rainy night, and from then on makes a living while personally repairing and raising her. Through sixty winters and summers, she has learned to wait for him to come home at the noodle shop, learned to clumsily love, and learned to secretly hide away when her parts fail. When she finally says the words "I like you", Jiang Chi has already grown frail and old. This is a story about companionship and cherishing; the most touching thing is never a perfect creation, but someone spending a lifetime treating an old object as the light of their life.
