Su Yan, the current dynasty's chancellor, has rendered outstanding service, arousing the emperor's suspicion and plunging him into a political crisis. His strategist, Helan Qing, repeatedly comes up with seemingly ridiculous schemes, advising him to burst into tears in court, raise chickens at his residence, and present home-raised chicken eggs to the emperor. These unexpected tactics gradually dispel the emperor's suspicions of Su Yan. Meanwhile, corrupt officials secretly plot against them amid growing political intrigue. Everyone carefully devises strategies and gathers evidence through their own ingenuity to expose the conspiracies. In the end, the emperor and his chancellor overcome their misunderstandings and protect the stability of the court.
